I expect that children will come to music ready to listen, learn, and participate in music class activities to their best ability. Music-making requires full participation.
1. Be Respectful
This is especially important when children are making music. I will not degrade a child's musical abilities and will not tolerate children doing so to their peers. Music class is a safe place to explore musical talents; I keep it that way by expecting that all children will treat one another with respect.
2. Be Responsible
In music, this means treating the instruments and equipment with care; making sure you have required material, and coming ready to learn and have fun! Additionally, no student's behavior should impede the ability of other children in the class to enjoy their musical experiences.
3. Be Ready
Come prepared to class with all materials. Be ready to listen and learn.
